Mostly
a self-taught watercolorist, I picked the brains of some of the
best watercolorists in the country by attending their workshops
and studying their work. Ed Whitney, Tony Couch, John Pike,
Bill Proctor and Tony Van Hasselt are a few that have influenced
my work.
After
a long career in commercial art in the 1980's, I decided to pursue
watercolor painting full time. Since then, I have taught
workshops around the Southeast, taught classes at the Jacksonville
Museum of Contemporary Art, at the Cummer Museum of Art, and teach
weekly classes at my Jacksonville studio (1650 Art Museum Drive)
as well as in Palatka.
I am
available for demonstrations at club meetings - As an artist,
it's important to take every opportunity to create an interest
in watercolor painting.
My
work can be viewed at my Jacksonville studio, art fairs, and several
private galleries. Additionally, my art can be seen in several
private corporation and institution collections. |
